Shangrao is the regional starting point for some of northeastern Jiangxi’s most memorable landscapes. Mount Sanqingshan rises in sharp granite pillars above forests and mist, with elevated paths opening views across the mountains.

In Wuyuan, the pace changes to village lanes and countryside. Huangling is known for its hillside buildings and colourful crop-drying displays. Give the mountain and the villages separate days: they are distinct excursions, not neighbouring stops on a short city walk.
