Mount Qingcheng
Mount Qingcheng is an important Daoist mountain landscape. Near Chengdu and Dujiangyan, its wooded slopes combine religious history with the pleasure of walking through green surroundings.
The front mountain is the starting point for temple culture, with Jianfu Palace at its foot and paths climbing toward the upper mountain. Zhang Daoling and the early Celestial Masters tradition are central to its religious associations.
Qingcheng and Dujiangyan share UNESCO World Heritage recognition, but offer different encounters. Our two-day starting point pairs a lower-mountain introduction with a temple walk; Dujiangyan can become an additional day rather than an obligation to rush.
Front and back mountain routes have different access and terrain. Walking, cable-car use and accommodation follow your ability and current conditions. Carry rain protection and shoes with grip; shaded paths can be damp even when the city is dry.
Meet China through Daoist culture.
Mount Qingcheng: connect the places here with Laozi, Zhuangzi and the wider world of Daoist thought, faith and living traditions.
