Huanglong: a separate landscape
Huanglong’s travertine pools are a distinct excursion at higher elevation. They should not be confused with Jiuzhaigou’s lakes or treated as a quick stop simply because both appear in one tour title.
Season & mountain weather
Autumn colour, summer greenery and winter conditions produce very different visits. Snow, rain and altitude can alter the available route; the programme should retain flexibility.
